Description:

Have you ever just stumbled upon a train that just seemed to show up out of nowhere? Take a look at what I found while walking around Downtown Bryan, Texas during what used to be the Texas Reds Steak & Grape Festival. This is the Union Pacific #2698. It’s a GE ET44AH locomotive that is powered by a GE GEVO-12 engine, specifically a 4-stroke diesel engine. It is part of the GE Evolution Series and is designed to meet EPA Tier 4 emissions standards. The “AH” in the model name indicates a heavier version of the ET44AC, with some railroads classifying it as a C45AH.
